About Pattaya
Climate Pattaya has an agreeable tropical wet and dry climate, which is divided into the following seasons: warm and dry in November to February, hot and humid in March to May, and hot and rainy June to October. Rainy is not as we know it from the West. It rains heavily for 20 minutes and half an hour later the sun is back. The most comfortable time of the year is during the high season, which is over the Christmas and New Year period but actually lasts now until end of February.
Pattaya’s Coral Island Coral Island or Ko Lan, is a small island just 7.5 km west of Pattaya and popular because of its cleanliness, tranquil atmosphere, white beaches, and the crystal-clear water. You can reach Ko Lan by ferry or speedboat. The ferry departs hourly. It is a 45 minute ride and it only costs 20 Thai Baht each way. Speedboats are a bit more expensive, but can reach the island in less than 15 minutes.
