First ‘five star’ property for Kollam
‘The Beach Orchid’ hotel has been accorded the first five-star status, becoming the first property under this category in the city of Kollam in Kerala.
According to K Sreekumar, chairman and managing director, the centrally air-conditioned facility has 105 rooms featuring all modern facilities, including satellite television, and offers the choicest cuisine.
A roof-top barbecue, a round-the-clock cafeteria, two swimming pools, an ayurveda centre of international standards, five conference halls with varying seating capacity, and a well-equipped 1,500-seat convention centre are other features. The tariff is comparable with the best on offer in the entire State, Sreekumar added.
